HOW TO MAKE A SLICED PHOTO FOR PINTEREST IN PHOTOSHOP
1. Crop a photo to a square: Select the Crop tool in the toolbox. In the Options bar, type 450 px in both the Width and Height fields. Drag out a crop bounding box and press enter.
2. Slice the square photo into 9 squares: Select the Slice tool in the toolbox. In the Options bar, set Style to Fixed Size and type 150 px in both the Width and Height fields. Click in the image to make a slice. Click inside the slice boundary to drag it into place. Repeat for each of the 9 squares, making a 3x3 grid of square slices.
3. Choose File>Save for Web and Devices. In the Save for Web window: Set one of the previews to optimize as JPEG with quality set to high. Select the Slice Select tool, and Shift+click on all 9 slices in the selected preview. Leave the other options at their defaults, and click Save at the bottom of the Save for Web window. In the Save As dialog box that opens, choose a location and click Save. In that location you'll find a folder named images that contains 9 jpeg files numbered from top left to bottom right from 1 to 9.
4. In Pinterest, create a new board. Upload image 9 first, 8 second, and so on to image 1. This is the step that takes the longest.
5. Enjoy your sliced Pinterest photo.
